My wife and I just returned from our stay at Sandals Antigua. We stayed at this property from September 20-28th.
We stayed on the Caribbean Grove Side, and our room was located near right by the sand volleyball court, and footsteps away from the new Mediterranean Village. We were upgraded to a Concierge level room upon our arrival, as we are Sandals Select Members. If you like peace and quiet, you will appreciate the Caribbean Grove side. Beautiful, lush landscaping, various species of mature palms, and hundreds of varieties of tropical plants and flowers.
Our room was clean, had a four post king size bed, a small wicker couch, a vanity area with a large closet and plenty of drawer space for clothes. The room was equipped with a coffee maker, cocktail glasses, and a well stocked fridge with various drinks (Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Ginger Ale, Tonic Water, Pineapple, Apple, Cranberry Juice, Wadadli Beer, Red Stripe Beer, Sandals Berringer Wine, Champagne, Rum, Gin, Scotch, and Vodka) and was re-stocked daily.

We booked the Venetian Suite and were upgraded to the St. Tropez Suite (Thank You Amy) on the 5th floor. The room was a little bigger than the Venetian. It was beautiful. It had two sinks, a huge shower with bench and a rain shower fixture. It also had a jazzuci tub. The balcony was very small compared to other Sandals but sufficient. It overlooked the pool and the ocean. You could see the sunset every night. This was the first time we had concierge service and it was great. No problem getting our room made up or turn down service. They even left us a little cake on our 25th anniversary. There are two buttons by the door. One says ‘make up room’, the other ‘do not disturb’. When we left in the morning, we pushed the ‘make up room’ button. The bed was a little soft and creaky. We have a firm foam mattress at home, so we were not used to it. The sheets were heavenly. Even with a sunburn, they were soft. Plenty of pillows and they were very soft. We brought a laptop and the internet was very very fast. No problems at all.
We had our sandals tags on the bags and seeing them the agent said "Oh, Sandals...just go" We breezed through. At the airport we were whisked away by a waiting taxi to check in at the Mediterrean Village. It is beautiful. The room was gorgeous! Large and comfortable. Beautifully decorated and the room had a large luxurious bathroom with a jetted tub. We had the concierge service with in-room bar that was completely restocked each day with water, juice, and cola in addition to wine, beer, and champagne. We also had turn down service and loved it. Concierge level is worth the price!
